Next Gen- Ready to Go

Veronica took care not to step on the broken glass that lay on the floor. She was almost horrified at the devastation that the kids had made of their Sporemon Adoption center. Almost. She was still mad at her Mom, and to show it, she huffed, and plopped down on a bench, arms across her chest, legs crossed, and a scowl on her face. Serves Mom right that the Liberation Troop came and ransacked the place. Her mom didn't care about her. Why, she couldn't even wear the same things her friends did. And her mother even disliked her friends, even though they were the most popular girls in school. What was so great about Jesus anyway? Shouldn't you have as much fun as you can now when you're young?

Ali sighed. She knew that look in her daughter's eyes. She had been the same way at her age, 13, almost 14. She only cared about what was popular, and even sometimes treated her family like dirt. Tears almost sprang to her eyes. No, worse then dirt. Then she felt.... something. It like arms were holding her, giving her a hug. No one was there. Then a voice whispered in her ear "Focus on what's now, not what was."

Jesus was right. She had been absolutely selfish back then, but now, because an amazing Savior came and saved her, and her whole family, she had been reborn. Not a thing of dirt, but a Sapphire. A loud WHOOSH sounded outside the Center. The cavalry had arrived, and the General would be defeated with the same power of Christ, that helped those poor, four Sporemon, so many years ago.

Andrew, Alissa, Marilee, and Cody hugged their parents. It was time to leave for another world.

"We love you, and we'll be praying for safe travel." Sara said, and kissed Andrew and Alissa on the head.

Sam put a hand on each of their shoulders. "My adventures on Threa changed me for the better," he said. "And I'll be asking God to guide you kids to become the young Man and Woman He wants you to become."

Kay and Darbin each hugged their children. "Whatever God needs you to do," Kay said, "Do it with faith, love, courage, and hope."

Marilee smiled at the word "hope". It reminded her of the time she and Alissa parodied the Andrew Peterson song "In the Night".

"Well," Andrew cried, "Lets go save us a universe!"
