A Big Problem

Continued from: Sm Labs

Ali heard a huge crash downstairs in her Grandpa's lab.

"Come on, Magmine, lets go see what's happening."

Ali raced out of her room, down the stairs, and into the doorway of the lab. She saw her brothers and sister fighting four sporemon she had never seen before. Ali didn't want to get in the middle of it, but couldn't watch her siblings get pummeled. Then, a blue, fish-like creature blasted the wall, followed by a brown ape creature that punched it with all its might, and made a huge hole! All the other children's sporemon were knocked out, but the four creatures had escaped.

******
The wind whistled though a big stadium. Lightning arched her back and sparks shot everywhere. Lugmon, or Blaze, as Sam called him, looked ready as well.

"Battling sporemon is just friendly competition, not a winner take all. You win the battle if you knock the opposing sporemon out, but the cool thing is, sporemon are never actually harmed by attacks. Some sporemon do have a predator/prey thing going, but when they are battling, they never hurt the other one bad," Sara called to the two friends.

"That's partly why Dad wanted to study sporemon in the first place. Also, you'll need to learn to battle if you guys want to help stop those four Evol type sporemon."

Suddenly her dad ran into the stadium. "The four of them escaped!"

Sam smiled. "Well, then," he said. "Let's get started."

Badges? We Don't Need No Stinkn' Badges!

You've seen them. Those nice shirts you see in Hastings, or at Hometown Craft that say things like "Jesus is the Light". Those are cool, but unnecessary. We shouldn't just look like God's people, we should act like God's people. If you look like a Christian, yet don't act like it, you give people yet another reason to turn away from Christ. People should see that you are a Christian a mile away because of your actions.

Why should people, who see someone wearing "He saved me!" cussing, and think "He is filled with the Holy Spirit!"? If you go and make disciples of all the nations, shouldn't you act like one? Sometimes it's hard. Sometimes you want to strike your enemy back. But every time you think that, try and remember "Is this the way Jesus would act?" So, we don't need big flashing signs that say "HEY! I'M A CHRISTIAN! COME GET SAVED!" When our signs are our hearts, words and actions. Badges? We don't need no stinkn' badges!

SM Labs

  Continued from A New Partner

The Evo Machine whirred as Dr. Charles typed on a keyboard next to it.

"Now, Ali, I'll just simply create a new type of sporemon, Evol type! To create the sporemon, what should the models be, my dear?"

And then, Ali had a thought. "Why don't you model them after transitional forms, Grandpa?"

"There we go! Alright. Four types, Lava, Wind, Water, and Earth!"

A flash of bright light appeared then four sporemon came from the machine. One was red, had feathers, and a beak, but had teeth and big hypnotic eyes. Another was light brown and looked like a small Bigfoot. Another was blue and had fish-like features, but had legs. The last one looked like a gigantic dragonfly.

"These sporemon are half Evol type, half the other types. I've also got a scientist convention, a month from now on the 6th of October. The DNA in these sporemon is programed when I get to give a speech, to evolve into a new sporemon. Then everyone will see how absurd Dr. Mills is. With the new sporemon, we will leak into the Earthling's world and put a stop to these ideas of Creation!"

Ali had to admit the idea was genius, but she wasn't sure she wanted to take away the viewpoint of a few million people on another world.

But then again, why did she think that in the first place? Didn't the people who believe in Christ want to see the "truth"?

What better way to do it than this?

A Special Gift to Me

One of the most special gifts to me happened when I was four. My little sister.

Firefly is a great playmate for outside, for Bakugan, Beyblade, or just wrestling. Like all siblings, she can sometimes be a pain, but no matter how annoying she gets, (Ahem, Firefly) I can always count on her to brighten my day.

Right now, she's laughing over the funny stuff in her journal, and I can't help but smile. She is a great blessing to us all.ether as a goofy friend, a loving sibling, or a happy family member.

We can know she will laugh her joyful way to victory in the Lord.

A New Partner

Continued from Good Guys

Sam was watching a dinosaur-like sporemon roast the meat in it's food dish with it's fiery breath. Its snout ended in a tip like a sharks, and a fin running from it's brow to the under side of it's tail.

"That's a Lugmon," Sara said as she walked up to Sam. "He's yours if you want him."

"I have always wanted a pet like that! Neat!" Sara lead the creature out of it's pin and next to Sam.

 Lugmon nuzzled his leg.

"Looks like you two are already bonding." Sara observed. A shock of static electricity hit Sam from behind on his other leg.

"Lightning! Come back here!" Kay tried in vain to coax a small yellow and black cat from Sam's leg. She finally picked it up and set it next to her without a shock. The cat yawned  and started to go to sleep.

"I almost forgot," said Sara "You'll need these."

She tossed a brown cube with a strange design on the top to the kids.

"They're sporemon encyclopedias. You can find any sporemon and can update automatically. We call them monipedias for short."

Just then the monipedia dinged and said "New type added. Evol type now in type category."

"Oh, no!" Sara whispered "He did it!"

Good Guys

Continued from Even More of the Story.

Sara Mills, Kay Terra and Sam O'bon walked towards the building Sam had seen when he first came though the portal.

"Dad said Jesus told him to build a portal gun to an alternate dimension, in our case, and call for help. Then you two came." Sara explained.

A figure, who had been standing on the porch ran to Sara. "Good job, Sara, you maneuvered Caterwaller right in front of your Tree Stomp. Saw the whole thing. Are these the ones who can help us?"

Sara motioned toward Sam and Kay.

"They're who you called through the portal, Dad, Sam and Kay."

"Wait," Said Sam. "Who were you fighting against? A wild sporemon?"

"No. One of Dr. Charles' four grandchildren, Ali."

"Oh, I see."

Later, Sara showed her new friends around her parent's sporemon zoo. She explained that her mom and dad both studied sporemon and when SM Labs was shut down, due to budget cuts, her parents made a zoo to keep studying sporemon.

"You're going to need a sporemon partner if you're going to help us take back the machine. Mom said you could choose which one you want."

Kay watched several sporemon then, almost tearfully said, "How evil do those people have to be to want to change these poor creatures!"

"Not evil," Sara corrected "just mislead." And with that Kay went to choose a partner.

Shhhh, We're hunting Chwistains!

It seems to me that people have set in their minds there is no God. Just last Tuesday I watched a show called Biblical Mysteries Explained. One such quote: "Could the Israelites have crossed the Red Sea with the help of God, or is there a scientific explanation?" They don't think believing in God is scientific! That was pretty sad.

And, at CHRISTmas, some people have put an x, crossing God out, but the whole point of the holiday is to be amazed that He came as a baby instead of a glorious king, not some fat dude who brings you earthly gifts! The mentality of our generation, in this nation "under God", where we have freedom of speech and religion is: "Go to your little Church and don't bother us scientists."

What has happened? Life from non-life (disputed in the 17th century) is now more scientific than life from life! Seems to me that this country needs to understand the importance of God, and Jesus. And God has given us something special to do it with, our life. We can choose to "go with the flow" or show others the wondrous, caring God through our actions.

I'm going to ask something hard of you, okay? Ready? Alright. Please check your heart and please try to let others see the glorious son or daughter God wants to shine through. Perhaps we may see change soon, in this country. I sure hope so!
Blessings,
Creator's Son

Some More of the Story

Continued from: Even More of the Story:

Ali Charles walked though the big automatic doors into SM Labs, carrying a limp yellow creature.

"Did Caterwaller get knocked out?" asked a small voice. Ali turned a round to see her little sister, Alena and her sporemon, Magmine. Magmine walked on all fours, was red and had pincer-like spikes on it's snout.

"Yes. The Mill's girl's Apatobront is tougher then he looks." Ali looked her sister over. Ali was only 9, but she dressed and did her hair exactly like Ali's. Orange shirt, sideways pink belt, and jeans with holes in the knees.

"Grandpa said to tell you he's pleased. She would have de-activated the Evo Machine."

"Tell him I said thanks!" Ali said.

"Oh, but he wants to see you in the Lab."

Ali walked down the corridors to the last room on the end, and opened the door.

Her grandfather stood over a square-shaped object that buzzed. He wore his white lab coat, as always. A squawk near the door startled Ali. It was Involbond, her grandfather's sporemon.

"Ah, Ali! Just the grandchild I wanted to see. Thank you for running off the Mills girl. Your just in time to witness the next step in sporemon evolution!"

Remember Jesus' Presence, Not Presents

I know waking up at 3 a.m. to go into your living room on Dec. 25th to see what's in your stocking like in Calvin and Hobbes is pretty darn appealing. BUT, and this is a big "but" here, we need to remember something. Something, small, helpless, and seemingly, insignificant. Jesus. You know, He could have come here as a Prince, a Nobleman, or a King. But He didn't. He came in the form of a tiny infant.

It reminds us that Earthly wealth is only temporary, and yes, be excited by your new DVD, but really try to remember God's presence, not presents.

Before I forget you have to listen to this , it's WAY too cool and touching not to share. I only wish we could see and more stuff like this!

Even More of the Story

Continued from "More of the Story"

"Help?" asked Sam, "We just want to get home... to Earth."

"You can't go just yet!" the girl replied. "A crisis is developing and we need you desperately."

"Ok.... Then please tell us where we are and what these creatures are!" Kay said politely.

"I'm Sara, and I guess I'll have to start from the very beginning. 'In the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth'. He also created this place, Thrae. On the fourth, fifth and sixth days He created a new type of creature not found on Earth. When man named the animals, he called them 'sporemon' and the name stuck. when systems for classifying groups of animals were developed, they classified them into elemental categories.

A few years ago, my father Dr. Mills, created SM Labs, a laboratory for studying sporemon. Then a new scientist, Dr.Charles was hired, not because of world-view, but skill. Dr. Charles made an 'Evo Machine' to evolve sporemon, but it then backfired. Sporemon did transform, but they didn't evolve.

While some forms got more powerful, other forms were just as powerful as before, and some weaker. My Dad believed that the machine should be kept under lock and key, and now it's been stolen."

"But that doesn't have anything to do with us." Kay said, confused.

"Don't worry," Sara replied. "I'll tell you why we need your help."

More of the Story

Continued from: "A Taste of the Story"

Sam looked around. He saw he was standing in a grassy field with a big house and something else he didn't recognize off in the distance.

"Apatabront, Tree Stomp!" Sam looked in the direction of the voice. A girl, about 14, called to a small green creature. She was blonde, dressed in jeans, a light green long-sleeve shirt, a brown vest, and a ski cap rimmed in pick with a cross on it.  The creature looked like a green Apatasaurus with two small trees sticking out of it's head. Sam saw another creature, yellow in color, fly off into a forest beyond, hit by the tallest tree. A flash of orange caught his eye but couldn't quite see what it was.

A tap on his back turned him around to face Kay.

"Kay, I was so worried about you! Don't do that again! Besides we need to find out what this place is," Sam paused and saw more of the strange creatures. One looked like a fat, orange caterpiller, and the other, a crow with a mane of feathers around it's head.  "Or if this even is Earth." Sam added. At the word "Earth" the girl turned to them and asked "You're from Earth? If that's so, do know of Him, God the Creator?" Kay nodded slowly.

"Yea."

"Then you are the help we need."

How to Play

I said something in my last post about Card-jitsu, but do you know how to play? On Club Penguin you start off with your deck, and five-card hand.

Then select the card you want to play, and set it face down. At the same time your opponent will do this. Flip the two cards over. Now it's Rock- paper-scissors. Water type cards beat fire, Fire type beats ice, and ice type beats water.

If the cards are the same element, however, you compare numbers which is higher. If you get 3 of the same element but different colors on the card, you win, or one of each element in a different color.

Card-jitsu Fire, Water and Ice (not yet playable) are variations of this game. In Fire, you spin 6 rocks like a spinner to a board-game to choose elements. In water, you race to be the first one to touch a gong along rocks that have elements on them.  This is a fun game. Thanks for letting me tell you this and for reading these posts. God bless you!

Fire Ninja at Last!

Yesterday night, I became a fire ninja. On a computer game called "Club Penguin", you create a penguin avatar, and one of the games you play is called Card-Jitsu. It's a rock-paper-scissors based game with three distict Elements: Water, Fire and Ice.

For 11 days they're doing a card-jitsu party. Half fire, half water. I've been working on becoming a fire ninja for a while now, but yesterday I achieved my goal. My sister is both fire and water ninja, but ice hasn't come out yet.

One of the coolest things about it is you can change the weather by teaming up and hitting "d" on your keyboard. That makes you control fire (or water) and makes it shower meteors (or make it rain). Is that cool or what?

A Taste of the Story

"Thank you, Mr. O'Bon for inviting me to go with you and Sam to Church of the Mountains this morning!" Kay said in her cheerful voice.

"You're welcome, Kay. It's not every day Sam gets to have friends over there. Ah, here we are!" Mr. O'Bon parked the car in the gravel parking lot and went to the door of the church.

"Hey, Dad, can we play for a bit?" Sam asked.

"I don't see why not!" his Dad replied. Sam and Kay played one-on-one basket-ball, until Kay ended the friendly game with a basket.Just then they heard a whoosh type sound.

"Good job, Kay, you won! What was that?" Sam said.

Always adventureous, Kay replied "Lets go see!" and dashed off into the bushes.

"There she goes again!" Sam thought.

Sam and Kay first met and became friends at a park, and had stayed friends all along. Sam raced after her until he saw a blinding blue light. It wasn't just a light, but a portal, and Kay had gone inside!

Sam wasn't so sure he wanted to go in there, but he felt encouraged to go, like something was pushing towards it. He asked God to protect him and Kay and jumped though.

Love Your Enemies, Even in Your Imagination

Last Sunday, Dennis Welch came to our church and spoke about how God can change even the most unchangeable people on the face of the Earth into instruments of His glory.

One such example is the apostle Paul (Or Saul). He killed Christians by thousands and then, he became one of the greatest preachers of his time.

I thought back to a "Series" of "episodes" we play outside about two kids who go through a portal and have to save Earth, and Thrae, the planet they land on, with Jesus' and their small but powerful pets help. One villain in our series has a Benedict Arnold moment and changes sides because the kids save her even though she is their enemy. Later she asks Jesus into her life, and in the end, she helps save both worlds.

I thought "Wow! That's the thing our series is ultimately about!"  It was SO cool! To think that something we made up has to do with one of the hardest things to do: love your enemies.

A VERY Fancy Dinner

Yesterday was the end of a Homeschooler event known as "Co-op", which we have in a church building, and many a homeschooler goes there to have classes such as: Constituion, Boy's Basket-Ball, and Manners. My Manners teacher, told us at the end of the day, that we would have a final exam, but if you know homeschoolers, this exam was not multiple choice. It was dinner.

My Mom got a last-minute invite to be a waiter and went with me. I was so relieved Mom was there!

My friends and I "hung out" as most Public Schoolers would say, in the Hostess' living room, and laughed over someone's i-phone, because we could talk into it and it would give us answers. I got to show everyone my new "invisible i-phone" and dinner started. It sure was tasty!

Our first course was soup, bread, and salad. Then we got to the main course. It was spaghetti and vegetarian "meat" balls, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. Dessert was a brownie topped with ice-cream, whipped cream, and a cherry.  I bet your hungry from reading this, aren't you?

We showed off our manners, kind of, and had a good time. One rule for manners is you have to stand up when a lady leaves the table. A mom friend of mine got up and introduced herself to a newer friend, and we all stood up. Then another friend got an idea, and every time a male friend got up to leave the table, we would all stand!

Also I got a brilliant idea,Why not toast the hostess for a great meal? We toasted then after a few minutes we got up and dinner was over.

I think that class helped me to be more aware of how to do and what, manners are.
Thank you for the lovely evening, Mrs. K!

A Lesson on Teachings

Long, long ago, in a galaxy far, far away......

Teenagers cared about their families, siblings, and knew Jesus was Lord and Savior. Now they seem to be "too cool" to care about those things, instead they care about: boys/girls, their clothes, peers, and what will their parents torture them with today. What happened to our society?

Well, we all know Proverbs 22:6 "Teach a youth about the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it." (Holman Standard Bible) This passage means, if you let the world teach your child, your child will be corrupt, and selfish, but if YOU take the precious time to train him or her, they will be able to show love to their kids and grandkids. What an awesome world it would be, if there were more teens that knew Love, over Evil!

A New Blog

I am a homeschooler who likes creation science, Dinosaurs, Ben10 (TV show), My Family, and most of all: Jesus. Which is sadly, weird for a teenager these days. I won't reveal my age, but most of my interests.  On this blog you find what crazy thing I or any of my family members will be doing, little stories from my daily life, Things I think are worth sharing.
